This is my favourite of all three images i have chosen to analyse and i think this will be the image i chose for my front cover. The image is a long shot as it is taken from a far, it has 'levels' as the camera is looking up on the model, this shows thought has gone into the images and could be seen as a unique idea. However this is not a typical image you would find on the front cover of a magazine as it is not a medium shot. The direct mode of address is at the reader and this is used as a hook as the reader feels connected to the model, this is typical of most magazine cover images. The model is dressed smartly and is smiling which connotes a good attitude to school and that school is a 'happy, fun' place.  There is space to the left and right of the model and also below and above her this means placing the cover lines and masthead will not be hard as they should fit in very well. The bin in the background makes the image look unprofessional and should be taken out of the image if possible.

This image has a typical direct mode of address to the camera which makes it look like the model is trying to interact with the audience, this is typical with magazine covers and i will use this typical idea with my magazine cover. Also the model is smiling which connotes that she is happy and this could be used with the ideal of school being a happy place. The shot is a typical medium shot as you can see her upper body and her face clearly this again is the typical type of image that would be found on a magazine front cover. Also the image has space around the sides which will allow for the cover lines to fit on well without being forced into a position. The header will fit perfectly as there is room above the models head although a masthead may cover some of the models hair/forehead, this is not a problem as this technique of layering is often used on many magaiznes.

This image is more dramatic than the other two, i like it as it goes against many typical conventions of a magazine cover. For example this is a long shot taken from above the model, this is not typical as you can see the whole of the model when normally you can only see the upper body and the models face. Also there is no direct mode of address with this model as she is gazing into the distance, this means there is no connection to the reader and is un common of magazines. The image connotes sadness which could be due to the school life, this is due to the dullness of the photo and the fact that the model looks depressed. Also the masthead would not fit above the model without blocking half of her, also the cover lines have a lot of space to fill due to the image not being central.
